When people become sick or hurt, they visit the doctor, explain their symptoms and receive the appropriate care. With pets, it isn’t always this straightforward. Because animals can’t speak, they can’t tell us when something is bothering them.
To make matter worse, many animals are able to hide the signs of illness, allowing it to develop undetected.
Veterinary diagnostics enable us to identify and treat health problems in a timely manner. Earlier diagnosis of illness and injury can vastly improve the chances of a positive outcome.
The on-site diagnostic laboratory at Animal Health Center makes it fast and efficient to run a wide variety of tests. In many cases, we can have results in just minutes. This means we can have a treatment strategy in place before you and your pet even leave the exam room.
When a physical exam and lab tests aren’t enough to reach a diagnosis, we turn to advanced imaging technology, including x-rays. This allows us to evaluate the bones and internal organs, identifying injuries, diagnosing illness and determining its severity.
Images can be assessed by our doctors in real-time or shared electronically with specialists if necessary.
If your pet has seemed a bit out of sorts lately, don’t take chances. Give Animal Health Center a call right away. We’ll get to the bottom of the problem and get your best friend back on the path to good health again.
